Current Market Description:

Trucks are equipped with a large, expensive providing a short working-life voltage converter, which reduces the truck's main voltage (24V) to the voltage suitable for trailer lights (12V). 

Military and gas transport vehicles are mandated, by the Ministry of Transportation, to use low-voltage in truck trailers.

 

Disadvantages of the Current Solution:

The currently used converter is relatively large, bulky and expensive, and has a short working-life.
